Juan Toscano-Anderson
Another player the Golden State Warriors added when the team dealt several players at the 2020 trade deadline was small forward Juan Toscano-Anderson. He averaged 5.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
Toscano-Anderson is currently the backup small forward. Andrew Wiggins, who was traded for in order to bring in a better fit with the splash brothers, will be the projected starter next season, but the team could add a wing in the draft.
If the team does end up keeping the pick and bringing in Israeli forward Deni Avdija then Toscano-Anderson will likely be relegated to the No. 3 small forward role. If somehow Anthony Edwards falls, he’d then slide in over Toscano-Anderson.
He’s still on the roster, so clearly the Warriors think he’ll be a valuable asset this season.
At a position that Golden State is relatively thin at, Toscano-Anderson should be able to get some minutes, but he’ll be hoping for the Warriors to not bring in another small forward this offseason. It seems likely they add a bigger wing though.
