They need depth at center

Last season, the Golden State Warriors struggled mightily in terms of frontcourt depth.

This season, it won’t just be depth that they don’t have much of, but size could be another factor for this team. Against a team like the Lakers, the Warriors’ lack of size could prove to be the difference.

Howard, who stands 6-foot-11, would give them that length.

The Warriors don’t have a rotational player over 6-foot-9. Kevon Looney and Marquese Chriss, both 6-foot-9, may not cut it when a team like Los Angeles players McGee and Anthony Davis at the same time.

With only one true center on the roster in Chriss, who was on a two-way contract for some of last season before re-joining the 15-man roster on a full-time basis, the Warriors should crave the addition of a former star like Howard.
