With the 2020 NBA Draft approaching, let’s look at a potential mock draft that sees the Golden State Warriors trading their pick.

The trade market might not be too hot this year – but the Golden State Warriors will be listening to offers for their No. 2 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft anyways.

If there was ever a time for a team to trade back in the draft, it is now for the Dubs. The Warriors aren’t in need of high-risk, high-reward prospects that are often found early in the lottery. Instead, they would be better off swapping picks for more assets and selecting a more developed player who can help them win immediately.

The Phoenix Suns are the team that the Warriors are hoping to ring their line with a potential deal. A swap for Kelly Oubre Jr. and the 10th pick is the best and most realistic deal the Dubs will be able to find.

Oubre adds young talent to the roster and his versatility on offense will make him a great stretch-four to play in the starting lineup. Meanwhile, the Suns get a chance to add another star to play alongside Devin Booker.

If this deal happens, the draft could look very different for both teams. Let’s look at how this exchange would impact the outcome of the draft.
