1. Minnesota Timberwolves – Anthony Edwards, G

There doesn’t seem to be a better match of both potential upside and fit for any team in the draft than Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Edwards’ ceiling is at an All-Star level. With a bit of development, he can average over 20 points per game in his sleep. Round out his potential as a defender and you are looking at an elite two-way player in the making.

This is exactly what the Wolves need to complete their big three. The dynamic of D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns will be enough to make them a dark horse playoff candidate in the West. But, a star third option would make them legit title contenders within a few years.

Edwards has his flaws. He has yet to prove he can shoot the 3-pointer consistently and will need to devote more effort on defense. Still, he is a perfect fit for this rebuilding team.
