3. Charlotte Hornets – James Wiseman, C

While the Charlotte Hornets managed to scrap their way to the 10 seed in the Eastern Conference – the fact remains that they have yet to find any cornerstones worth building their future around.

Devonte’ Graham was a pleasant surprise, averaging 18.2 points and 7.5 assists per game as a sophomore. He is by far their most promising prospect but not a player they can solely rely on to remain competitive.

This is why James Wiseman should be the Hornets pick. Wiseman is a gigantic center who can anchor the Hornets’ efforts in the paint. His athleticism makes him an easy lob target for the playmaking Graham.

Wiseman can help improve their interior defense, where Charlotte ranked 25th in blocks. Overall, Wiseman makes the most sense from a fit standpoint for the Hornets.
