3 reasons the Golden State Warriors should sign center Aron Baynes

The Golden State Warriors will have an entertaining offseason as they’ll have multiple avenues in which they can improve their 15-win roster.

There’s no denying the 2019-2020 season didn’t go as planned, for the NBA or the Golden State Warriors.

No one was predicting the league would take off a few months towards the end of the season just as no one was predicting that Golden State would end with a mere 15 wins. There were some silver linings.

The Warriors will have the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming late-November draft. They may opt to trade the pick for a third true superstar, but nonetheless, they’ll have a high-value asset at their disposal.

On top of that, they’ll have a fully rested Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Even Draymond Green would’ve used the time off. It was a blessing in disguise for a Warriors team that had been to five straight NBA Finals.

Another asset the Warriors will have in their back pocket is the mid-level exception, something the Warriors could use to bring in a solid rotational player. That said, let’s dive into three reasons why Aron Baynes is the quintessential player to sign with that exception.
