6. Thunder begin firesale

I don’t think the Oklahoma City Thunder even expected to be as successful as they were last season. After a less than 1 percent chance of reaching the playoffs – the Thunder fell one game short of knocking off the Houston Rockets and jumping to the second round.

With a stockpile of future draft picks due to their shipping of Paul George and Russell Westbrook, OKC is loaded to the teeth with assets. The franchise could take this one step farther by trading away their expendable veterans and going all-in on a rebuild.

Dennis Schroder and Steven Adams are two attractive trade pieces. Schroder had a Sixth Man of the Year worthy season while Adams is a massive center who excels at setting screens and doing the little things. Both would be welcomed sights on the Warriors.

In exchange, OKC nabs the 2nd pick and two more young players in Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole. The Thunder speed up their rebuild while the Dubs gain assets that can help them win now. It’s a win-win.
