1. Three-team blow up

Now it’s time to have some fun. There are a number of teams that are looking to make trades this offseason – why not try to combine a few and satisfy everyone’s needs?

Let’s go through each team in this three-way swap and see why it makes sense for all of them.

Firstly, the Warriors NEED to add some depth on the wing. Josh Richardson didn’t live up to the hype in Philadelphia but he won’t be asked to fill such a heavy role for Golden State. Allowing Richardson to play his natural position as a backup guard to bring offense and shot creation is the key to success.

Meanwhile, Al Horford brings the veteran leadership and 3-point shooting the Warriors need in their frontcourt. Not to mention, Horford is a skilled passer for his position – fitting exactly how the Dubs like to play. The Warriors also get a late first-round pick to make it all worth it.

Philly gets a center in return to patch up their rotation and a deadly shot-creator in Buddy Hield to finally give them some offensive firepower. The 76ers desperately need a shooter like Hield to open the floor for them – Hield drilled 270+ total 3-pointers for the second straight year this season.

Lastly, the Kings manage to flip Hield (who has made it clear he is ready to move on) for Andrew Wiggins and the Warriors 2nd pick. This gives them a chance to further rebuild around De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley. Overall, all three teams should be happy with this deal.
