The Golden State Warriors will have the ability to bring in a star this offseason, and it wouldn’t be shocking if they targeted Sixers center Al Horford.

With the No. 2 pick in the late-November NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors will be able to go out and get a player that will help them contend. However, they may not have to use that pick to improve their roster.

There are many stars that currently do not mesh with their team and could be snagged without using too much draft capital. Al Horford is one of them as his Philadelphia 76ers were bounced in the first round by the Boston Celtics.

Horford was signed last offseason to a massive four-year, $100 million contract, and with Joel Embiid also in the City of Brotherly Love, the frontcourt duo, which Philly had hoped to thrive together, struggled mightily throughout the season.

The Warriors have no absolute need for Horford though. They’ll have their options which is helpful when deciding which route is best to go down. Many Sixers, including Embiid and Simmons, could be on the block this offseason with Doc Rivers as the new head coach.

For what the Warriors need, Horford makes the most sense. That said, let’s dive into three reasons why the Warriors should trade for him this offseason.
