Another point guard the Warriors should target is Spurs backup Patty Mills.

In the back half of his career, the Spurs have several young, up-and-coming point guards in Derrick White and Dejounte Murray, allowing them to give Mills the chance to chase a ring elsewhere. Mills played under two quarters per game last season.

An 11-year veteran having spent the last nine years with the Spurs, Mills would be a spark off the bench. A three-point specialist, Mills averaged 2.3 threes per game last season, shooting over 38 percent from downtown.

Averaging a career-high 11.6 points per game despite starting just one game, Mills may be 32, but he’s still playing basketball at a very high level. He shouldn’t cost the Warriors too much to get, and he’d certainly be worth the price.

Mills isn’t a flashy addition by any means, but he is one that would have a high impact with Golden State.
