Mitchell Robinson
The Golden State Warriors have the picks that it would take to go and get Knicks center Mitchell Robinson. Robinson may never be a star in the NBA, but he’s going to be one of the best rim-protectors in time.
Robinson built on his 2019-2020 campaign this past season.
He averaged 9.7 points per game, shooting a league-high 74.2 percent from the field. That’s the type of dominance the Warriors could use, especially given his size at 7-foot. He averaged 2.0 blocks per game as well, starting just seven of 61 games.
The former second-round pick is just 22. However, while he’s young and starting to prove himself, the Knicks would have to include more than just Robinson if they’d wish to swap first-round picks in the upcoming draft.
He’s a worthwhile addition, and with multiple second-round picks, the Warriors should at least toss the idea of a trade to New York.
