Derrick Rose

A former MVP, Derrick Rose is spending his final years in Detroit. For Golden State, he could be the perfect backup point guard, a dynamic, aggressive and athletic scorer that still has something left in the tank.

Rose has had multiple significant ACL injuries, so there’s no telling if he’d be able to play the entire season.

The 32-year-old did play in 32 games for the Pistons a season ago, starting in 15 of them. As for his contract, he is set to make just under $7.7 million, under the team’s Andre Iguodala-created trade exception.

Rose averaged 18.1 points per game last season, the fourth most of his career. He’s still the elusive and agile player teams once feared, despite taking a step back due to those nagging injuries.

He also averaged 5.6 assists and made .9 threes per game, shooting just over 30 percent on his career. Rose isn’t worth a first-round pick, but he’s another player the team would love to add for several seconds.
