Doug McDermott

Originally coming out of Creighton, Dougie McBuckets was set to be one of the best snipers in the NBA. While those aspirations were set over half a decade ago, McDermott is starting to live up to them.

Averaging a career-high 10.3 points per game last season, McDermott’s Pacers were eliminated in the first round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. With the team on the verge of blowing it up, McDermott could be on the trading block for cheap.

Not only was the 2019-2020 season the best for McDermott scoring-wise; but it was also the best for him as a shooter. He shot 43.5 percent from downtown, averaging 1.9 threes per game. Both were career-highs for McDermott.

At 6-foot-7, McDermott has played the bulk of his career at the four despite being the same size as Klay Thompson. That would fit perfectly with the Warriors small-ball game plan, allowing Wiggins to play the three and Green the five.

McDermott and every other target is worthy of at least a second-round picks. While they’re not the best of the trade market, all seven would be able to have a solid impact with the Warriors.
