Jrue Holiday

The Golden State Warriors weren’t sure D’Angelo Russell in the Bay Area along with a star-studded backcourt would work.

Pelicans’ star Jrue Holiday is a much different type of guard though, one that can defend just about every position. Despite his Pelicans barely missing out on the playoffs, Holiday had one of the best seasons of his career last year.

The 30-year-old averaged 19.1 points, 6.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Those are impressive numbers, and not even as the main scorer on the team, it’s likely he could replicate them with the Warriors.

Holiday is a superstar on the defensive end. That’s something the Warriors could use. Holiday, Thompson and Green on the defensive end would create one of the best three-man defensive units in the entire league.

His cost is what is concerning. Andrew Wiggins would be the main trading piece along with the picks as Holiday’s contract would force the Warriors hand. Whatever the cost, it’d likely be worth it.
