Giannis Antetokounmpo

Did you think anyone other than the two-time MVP would be at No. 1?

Giannis would make the Warriors easily the best team in the NBA. We saw what Kevin Durant did with Golden State, taking them to three Finals trips in three years. Giannis could do the same, and his defensive tenacity might make him an even better fit than Durant.

Giannis won Defensive Player of the Year and MVP this past season, a rare feat. He’s that good, averaging 29.5 points per game. His Bucks just didn’t get it done in the playoffs, and he could easily request a trade.

With Golden State having the best package, it may cost them basically every valuable piece outside of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Klay, the No. 2, the 2021 first-round pick — all that would have to do be on the table and potentially more. At what point is it not worth it?

That’s a question only Bob Myers and the team’s front office could answer, but it’s obviously that Giannis and any combination of three players and Curry would make Golden State the best team in the NBA.
