10. Dwight Howard (MLE)

We kick off our list with a potential MLE signing, Dwight Howard. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year has had a roller coaster of a decade but could be helpful to the Golden State Warriors in the immediate future.

It’s obvious that the league is moving away from the brand of basketball that made Howard an eight-time All-Star. However, there is no debating that Howard played a pivotal role in key moments for the Los Angeles Lakers. Under the right circumstances, he can do the same for Golden State.

The Lakers needed Howard’s physicality and size to disrupt opposing big men like Nikola Jokic and Hassan Whiteside. His impact didn’t always appear on the stat sheet but his energy ultimately made a difference for the Lakers.

Golden State might not need to play big at any point in the near future – but having the option to increase their size by adding Howard into the lineup is important if they find themselves needing it in certain matchups. Having Howard could make a difference against key opponents like Denver, Portland and even LA.
