7. Rodney Hood (MLE)

Everyone is talking about free agency, but few people are mentioning Rodney Hood. While there is a reason to be concerned about any player returning from an Achilles injury, Hood is certainly someone who could be worth the risk.

Hood was having the best start to a season in his career with Portland last year. Acting as a third scoring option alongside Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, Hood was posting 11.0 points per game on 50.6 percent shooting from the field and 49.3 percent shooting from deep.

He was filling in his role beautifully, drilling 35-of-71 total 3-point attempts. Hood could have been a difference-maker all season long had it not been for his injury that cut him short after 21 games.

The Warriors would have some real firepower on their bench if they were able to sign Hood for the MLE. His potency on offense and consistency would allow the second unit to coast at times with their heavy hitters getting a rest.
