3. James Wiseman (Draft)

There might not be a better prospect in the 2020 NBA Draft (from a fit standpoint) for the Golden State Warriors to target other than James Wiseman.

Wiseman is a MASSIVE seven-footer that can outleap anyone in his class. This combination of size and athleticism is rare and could help him fit in with the modern-day NBA. Ideally, Wiseman will be quick enough on his feet and enough of a deterrent at the rim to remain on the floor in the era of small-ball.

Much of his concerns come from the offensive side of things. Wiseman is not a gifted shooter and might never expand his range to the 3-point line. Shrinking the floor is something that would be a concern for any team interested in Wiseman.

However, he is a force to be reckoned with in the paint. Wiseman’s brute strength and jumping ability will help him generate easy points at the rim for Golden State. All it takes is finding him for lobs and the Dubs will succeed with Wiseman at the five.
