The Golden State Warriors have a mid-level exception at their disposal, and it could bring in a player that would become their starting center.

This past season, the Golden State Warriors won 15 games. While that was never the intention for the season, given the fact that Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for just five games, it was the reality that struck Golden State.

The Warriors will have a fresh start with a healthy roster. Their roster is one of the best in the NBA. With a two-time MVP and a five-time All-Star coming back from injury, they’ll be able to contend for a championship.

However, they’ll need more.

With a $17.2 million trade exception and the No. 2 overall pick, many are thinking the Warriors may couple the two for a third superstar or may just part ways with Wiggins to free up the cap for a player like Joel Embiid.

Another way the Warriors will be able to enhance their roster is the mid-level exception.

With it being valued at around $6 million, the Warriors will have their options. That said, let’s dive into three realistic signings they could make to replace the team’s current starting center Marquese Chriss.
