The Golden State Warriors have a mid-level exception they could use to bring in a high-level player, one that would most likely start immediately.

Even though they won 15 games last season, the Golden State Warriors will be among the most favored destination for free agents. In San Francisco, the Warriors are going to be championship contenders once again.

All the pieces are back for them to have a deep postseason run as the season should commence with both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson healthy. A rested Draymond Green and Kevon Looney should also help Golden State.

However, their current roster isn’t quite completed yet.

With a mid-level exception, valued at around $6 million but subject to change with modifications to the CBA on the way, the Warriors could get a top-tier veteran player that could easily take over Andrew Wiggins or Marquese Chriss’ starting spot.

They’ll also have a $17.2 million trade exception the team could couple with their No. 2 overall pick to bring in a forward like Aaron Gordon. The options will be there for the franchise that’s been to five of the last six NBA Finals.

That said, let’s dive into five players the Warriors could sign that would immediately start.
