5 instant-start players the Golden State Warriors could sign this offseason
Dwight Howard
With a career that was looking like a sharp downhill slide, Dwight Howard finally returned to winning with the Los Angeles Lakers. Instead of being a pivotal star on the team, he transitioned into one of their most important role players.
The 6-foot-10 Howard started just two games and posted a career-low 7.5 points per game last season. However, as noted, he was a super role player, no longer a superstar.
With that transition, Howard’s efficiency went to an all-time high. Shooting over 70 percent from the field for the first time in his career, Howard played well in Los Angeles, also record his third-most rebounds per 36 minutes as well.
It was a successful stint, and now he can head elsewhere for more than the veteran’s minimum he went to LA for.
Being a rim-rocking big offensively and a rim-protecting big defensively, Howard would be a great addition and may immediately take over from the younger and more unpredictable Marquese Chriss.
