The Golden State Warriors could use a third superstar, and Joel Embiid would give them one of the only things their dynasty hasn’t had — a dominant center.

With just 15 wins throughout the 2019-2020 season, the Golden State Warriors were among the NBA’s worst teams.

It won’t be a similar story next season as shooting guard Klay Thompson and point guard Stephen Curry are both set to return at full strength. The superstar duo combined for just five games last season.

We knew Thompson wouldn’t be active as he tore his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals after putting up 30 points through three quarters. Curry’s fourth-game hand fracture came as more of a shock.

In part, because they lost the Finals, Durant left and D’Angelo Russell was brought in.

Russell was traded for Andrew Wiggins and a plethora of assets. The Warriors, given their struggles and trades, have a projected 2021 first-round pick and the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft at their disposal.

They’ll have the pieces it takes to bring in a superstar talent. That talent should be Joel Embiid, and here are three reasons why.
