His cost

Having been on the Cavaliers and the last of their Big 3 still in Cleveland, Love’s name has been oftentimes forgotten due to the Cavs poor play. While Love is a fan favorite, there’s no denying that the next generation of Cavaliers basketball is there.

Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are the future of Cleveland, not Love. Love is still under contract for three more seasons, and given that it’s over that $17.2 million trade exception, the Warriors would have to trade Wiggins for him, again.

The trade would make sense, especially since the team was highly impressive with Deni Avdija. They get the wing they want and they hope that can hopefully become a better shooter than Wiggins.

The team would then have the Big 4 and Avdija on their roster. Love should only cost one first-round pick. Better yet, the Warriors may be able to get away with simply swapping their 2020 first-round picks.

Either way, Love shouldn’t cost too much as he’s clearly not part of the next generation of Cavaliers basketball.
