Orlando Magic’s Aaron Gordon is no longer the face of the franchise, and the Golden State Warriors should try to take advantage of that.

The Golden State Warriors have been the golden standard of the NBA for the past half a decade. While they did have a down season last year, the team should be able to bounce back as one of the best in the Western Conference.

The Warriors won just 15 games last season. With a bit of midseason chaos as D’Angelo Russell was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Warriors have set themselves up perfectly for more chaos. In that trade, they received a 2021 unprotected first-round pick.

They’ll be able to potentially couple that with the No. 2 overall pick that is in their possession in order to bring in a star if they believe that will improve their chances of becoming champions again.

There are numerous ways this offseason could play out, but it has the potential to be one of the most important in recent history for Golden State.

One such player they should target before making some outlandish is the Magic’s Gordon. That said, let’s dive into why he’d be the perfect trade target.
