He would fit the small-ball lineup perfectly

Aaron Gordon has shown that he can shoot the ball well. It’s not just for that reason that the team should look to bring him in. The other clear fact is that he’d perfectly fit in with the small-ball lineup that they love ever so much.

In his six seasons in the league, Gordon has three seasons with positive defensive win shares. One reason he’s been able to succeed at the highest level is his wingspan, the same reason he was such an attractive prospect on draft night.

Combine Gordon’s shooting with his defensive ability, and it’s then easy to see why he’d be such a solid fit. He can not only defend well but also rebound. Green, Wiggins, and Gordon may struggle against other taller bigs, but they should be able to hold their own on the boards.

With Andre Iguodala no longer on the team, Gordon, Wiggins, Green, Curry, and Thompson is a lineup that’s just about as good as it gets.
