The Golden State Warriors have a few sensible trade targets this offseason, and New Orleans Pelicans star guard Jrue Holiday is one of them.

After a 15-win season, the Golden State Warriors were awarded a top-two pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Along with that pick, a midseason trade brought in a high-value 2021 first-round pick from Minnesota.

Entering the new season healthy as both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, a duo that combined for just five games this past season have recovered, the Warriors will have the assets to trade for a star that could put their roster among the best in the league.

Right now, they’ll be title contenders next season, and while they may like Andrew Wiggins and their young stars, if they feel trading them could get them that much closer to another title, the Warriors front office may pull the trigger on a deal.

Having been to five of the last six NBA Finals, Golden State has a winning culture, and they’ll want to get back to that after being the NBA’s worst team last season. Used to winning at the highest level, the Warriors may need a bit more help to get there.

Jrue Holiday is a perfect trade target, and he may be the most reasonably priced played to acquire. That said, let’s dive into three different ways the Warriors could bring him in along with they it’d be smart to add the former All-Star.
