The most sensible

Warriors acquire: Jrue Holiday

Pelicans acquire: Andrew Wiggins, No. 2 overall pick

This is the most reasonable, easiest form of any trade for Holiday. It would allow the Pelicans to make Brandon Ingram their superstar and play through both him and Zion Williamson.

It would also bring in a high-potential role player in Wiggins. The bigger part of this deal for New Orleans is that No. 2 overall pick. They have Ingram and Williamson, two very young stars. Now, they could add a third to potentially start their dynasty.

For Golden State, Holiday, who has been on the NBA’s All-Defensive teams twice, would swoop in and arguably be the team’s best defender. He’s also a great and unselfish playmaker offensively. He averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists per game last season.

It would be the best of both worlds as they look to enhance their roster. They could then also slide Thompson down to the three and play Curry, Holiday, Thompson, Green, and Chriss — a five-man lineup that would arguably be the best in the NBA.
