The three-team deal

Warriors acquire: Jrue Holiday, 27th overall pick

Pelicans acquire: 2nd overall pick, Eric Paschall, Julius Randle

Knicks acquire: Andrew Wiggins, 13th overall pick

This three-team trades seems to be a win for all sides involved.

Let’s start with New York.

They deal Randle and the 27th overall pick for Wiggins and the 13th. Wiggins is a big name on a big contract, and getting his deal off the books may be something Golden State must do. New York could eat it and take a pick late in the lottery.

For New Orleans, they get Paschall and Randle, two power forwards that would help shore up their frontcourt. Along with one of the best picks in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Pelicans would get a win-now player, a long-term option and a high-potential prospect.

Lastly, the Warriors would get a first-round pick and Holiday, two assets they should be interested in. The pick is just a toss in for having to part ways with Paschall. Holiday is the real deal defensively, and he would make them a better team on both ends of the court.
