The Golden State Warriors will listen to offers for Andrew Wiggins – but what are the pros and cons of trading him?

When the Golden State Warriors completed a trade for D’Angelo Russell last summer – the general consensus was that Russell would become part of another deal in the near future. The same can be said for Andrew Wiggins, who has been in trade rumors since the moment he joined the roster in February.

Wiggins’ situation is a bit different than Russell’s. There is a more realistic path for Wiggins to succeed with the Dubs as a third option on offense -whereas Russell would never have been able to crack the starting lineup alongside the Splash Brothers.

But, Wiggin’s long-term future on this team is still up in the air. The fact remains that he is their most expendable asset and can be paired with their upcoming draft pick to potentially bring in a star player – or some more valuable depth.

The Warriors will have a big decision to make before they can buckle down and make their run at another title. Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of trading Wiggins this offseason.
