Sending away Paschall
There’s no denying the Golden State Warriors found a gem in the second round with Eric Paschall. He was one of the brighest spots of their team last season, a year in which the Warriors won just 15 games.
However, if at his expense they can bring Oubre Jr. in, then they’d have to do it. The Warriors have two open spots on their roster as well; they could use them to bring in a player on the mid-level exception and then their No. 2 overall pick.
Adding those three would create a lineup that has Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Marc Gasol (cross your fingers he comes back to the NBA and wants to win a title).
Along with either center James Wiseman or forward Deni Avjida and Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors would have an elite-level lineup. They could get to the NBA Finals with that lineup along with that depth and have little need for those second-round picks that they’ve accrued.
This is the most Warrior-friendly deal, but it may not be something Phoenix is intrigued in given Oubre’s ascension as a star.
