8. Dennis Schroder

Finding players to fill in at the wing will be important – but gaining a guard as talented as Dennis Schroder might be too good to pass up for the Golden State Warriors.

Schroder was a member of one of the deadliest three-man lineups in the NBA last year. The three-guard attack of Schroder, Chris Paul and Shai-Gilgeous Alexander gave opponents hell due to their quickness and tenacity. Can the Warriors recreate this with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson?

Even if Schroder is strictly a sixth-man, the Warriors will be picking up one of the best backups available. Schroder averaged 18.9 points and 4.0 assists in a bench role with the Thunder – earning a nomination for Sixth Man of the Year.

The Warriors don’t have a reliable backup for Curry heading into the season. Schroder can exceed expectations and allow Curry all the time he needs to rest throughout the year.
