6. Deni Avdija – Pass

The Golden State Warriors were reportedly impressed with Deni Avdija during his pre-draft workout but is the young prospect worth taking a shot on at No. 2? I don’t think so.

Avdija is an interesting talent. Playing professionally at a young age and competing against grown men in the Euro League is a sure-fire way to speed up development. He has shown a passion for improving his game and has limitless potential due to his 6’9″ frame and fluid athleticism.

However, Avdija is lacking in nearly every category. He has good movement for his size – but won’t hold up to NBA level athletes. Avdija is a below-average 3-point shooter and questionable finisher around the rim. Though he has a knack for playmaking, his limited dribbling ability will hinder him.

Overall, Avdija is a prospect who is good at a lot of things – but great at nothing. He is very much a work in progress, which should turn the Warriors away from selecting him as the franchise is in a position to win now rather than later.
