Juan Toscano-Anderson

Andrew Wiggins will be impacted, but the only other small forward on the roster could see a crushing blow. Juan Toscano-Anderson is his name, and he was brought in after the team dealt many of their young players to Minnesota prior to the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline.

Toscano-Anderson is one of the many players that is still on the roster following that deal that sent D’Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves. Mychal Mulder is another one the team added that’ll potentially crack the 15-man roster within the next month.

For Toscano, if the draft pick is Edwards or Avdija, his minutes should get slashed. Averaging 5.3 points per game last season, Toscano was seeing over 20 minutes per game, playing a mere 13 games with the Warriors before the season’s suspension.

The 6-foot-6 forward was brought in to fill out the roster, and with a rising star on the team and in his position as well, he’ll likely be relegated to the third unit as the Warriors will want to see how their top pick can function in their offense.

Wiggins’ role is set, and while his minutes may reduce if a small forward is drafted, it will be Toscano that’s crushed if that position is added.
