Weaknesses

Okongwu is not a great shooter and may not ever be. His form looks a little weird, and his footwork stepping into shots is wonky.

He also is not a great passer. In college, he had a tendency to make bad reads and turn the ball over often. Okongwu averaged two turnovers a game. As a big man, that can be a little freighting.

Another weakness of Okongwu is his defensive discipline. Onyeka has a tendency to fall for pump fakes. He also swings his arms a lot when attempting to block shots and jumping on pump fakes. This turned into a foul trouble problem at USC, averaging three a game.

He did not foul out much, but it was hard to keep him on the floor for much of the beginning of games.

Why should the Warriors draft him?

Onyeka Okongwu has tremendous potential as a big man. He is the most versatile big man in the draft in my opinion. His size and length can be very useful on offense and especially defense for the Warriors.

His ability to switch onto smaller players and play great pick in roll defense is something that head coach Steve Kerr loves.

Okongwu would fit very well with the Warriors and the way they like to play. I also believe they could trade back for him and also receive some more assets with that deal. Think the No. 2 for LaMarcus Aldridge and the No. 11 or something similar.
