Before the free agency frenzy begins, let’s take a look at the best guards the Golden State Warriors should be targetting.

The NBA is working fast to get things back to normal. This means a hyper quick offseason will leave the Golden State Warriors only a few weeks to scan the free agency market and make some moves.

Golden State won’t have much flexibility in terms of cap space. Outside of their mid-level exception, which is expected to be worth around $6 million dollars, the Warriors will have to look at the NBA Draft and potential trades to add more talent.

Still, that MLE could come in handy. In a market where no one is expected to sign long-term deals (aside from a few stars like Brandon Ingram), we can easily see the Dubs walking away from free agency with a surprisingly good signing.

Over the next few days, we will break down the best players at each position. To kick off this series of articles, let’s analyze the six best guards the Warriors can target with the MLE.
