6. Jeff Teague
The Golden State Warriors will want a veteran guard to play behind Stephen Curry next season. Can Jeff Teague be the experienced presence they need?
Pros
Teague has been in the league for over a decade and has seen just about everything. He has been a member of 60 win teams – and lottery teams. All the while, Teague has remained a consistent contributor at the guard position.
Last year, Teague averaged 13.2 points and 6.1 assists as a fringe starter in Minnesota before being traded back to Atlanta. Teague will be a welcomed addition to the Warriors bench if he can replicate this production.
Cons
While the Warriors are interested in bringing in veteran talent, Teague’s age could become a concern. He is only a bit older than Stephen Curry but much of his game is reliant upon quick bursts of speed and surprising athleticism. Without a consistent jump shot, the drop off for Teague could be sudden.
