1. Goran Dragic

Goran Dragic is worth much more than the Warriors’ $6 million MLE – but the chance of competing for a title could be enough to sway him to take a pay cut.

Pros

Dragic was the Miami Heat’s leading scorer heading into the NBA Finals last season and could have helped them battle the Los Angeles Lakers had he not been injured in Game 1. His versatile shot creation off the dribble was irreplaceable and is something the Warriors should be hunting in the offseason.

The Warriors could plug Dragic in as a sixth man who can score in bunches and distribute the ball at a high-rate. Having him on the bench would allow Stephen Curry full freedom to rest when needed – keeping him fully prepared for a deep playoff run.

Cons

As previously mentioned, Dragic might not be interested in playing for the MLE. This is something the Warriors front office would have to convince him to buy into. Aside from that, there aren’t many cons to having Dragic in a sixth-man role. Maybe he isn’t the strongest defender and his health could be a concern – but the Dubs would be thrilled to pull off this signing nonetheless.
