The Hawks add a potential star to their young core

The Atlanta Hawks are already trending in the right direction of their rebuild. They may even be a few steps ahead, especially when you factor in that Trae young is going into his third season and is a star.

They have already started drafting around him well, adding Hunter and Reddish last year.

Hunter is a big wing who can score and potentially be a defensive stopper, while Cam Reddish is starting to blossom into a great scorer and shooter.

And of course, they also have John Collins, who is a stud in his own right. Let’s not forget about the trade Atlanta made this last season for Clint Capela.

Adding the number two overall pick in this year’s draft will help the Hawks get even closer to finishing their rebuild. With that pick, they can look into adding Anthony Edwards from Georgia.

He is a young, athletic guard who can score at all levels. Not to mention he is from Georgia, so I’m sure he would feel right at home. This trade would work well for the Hawks, and I doubt they turn down an offer like that. I

f they were to add a talent like that to their team, we could possibly see the Hawks in the playoffs in a few years.
