4. Dwight Howard

The Los Angeles Lakers came to love Dwight Howard’s fire off the bench last season. Can the aging big man do the same for Golden State?

Pros

Howard has been to rock bottom and back. A few years ago, many assumed Howard was on his way out of the league. But, just last season, Howard proved to be a quality member of a championship-winning team.

We all know what Howard brings to the table by now. He’s going to rebound the ball and block shots. However, it is his recent change in attitude that has revived his career. Howard is becoming a master of the little things and embracing his reduced role.

Cons

At this point, no one should be expecting Howard to become a 3-point shooter. His range doesn’t expand out of the paint and that’s something that will restrict him from playing big minutes in the NBA Playoffs.

Still, Howard can be an x-factor in series against bigger opponents. Howard might not be viable in every situation but he will certainly bring his best when his number is called.
