3. Aron Baynes

It’s not common for a player in his eighth NBA season to make a major development to his game – but Aron Baynes took a huge step forward as a 3-point shooter last season.

Pros

Baynes began the 2019-20 NBA season on-fire from deep. He was drilling nearly 2 a game on 43.4 percent shooting during the first month of the season – finishing the year as a respectable threat from deep.

This new dynamic to his game made Baynes a more effective big as his size and rebounding ability already proved to help teams in the past. Now, Baynes can spread the floor and control the paint.

Cons

While he started the season hot, Baynes did cool off towards the second half of the year. Furthermore, the Phoenix Suns actually looked better with him off the floor as his slow pace restricted their offense a bit.

Regardless, Baynes could be a valuable member of the Warriors bench with his veteran experience and ability to stretch the floor.
