1. Marc Gasol

Another member of the Toronto Raptors, Marc Gasol can be everything the Golden State Warriors need from a veteran center.

Pros

Obviously, Gasol is about as experienced as they come. He has spent over a decade in the NBA and battled in some great playoff series throughout his career. Gasol is ready for prime time and can be trusted to perform under pressure.

Gasol is the total package. He can rebound, defend the basket, move his feet on the perimeter, pass the ball and shoot a reasonable enough percentage from deep for teams to respect him. He is a seamless fit with the Warriors.

Cons

Like Ibaka, Gasol is approaching the end of his career. His lateral quickness is fading and his ability to hedge screens could be in full jeopardy by next season. The Warriors won’t have much use for a player who is lumbering up and down the court.

However, Gasol is a smart enough player to play to his strengths and be effective even without athleticism. His near 7-foot frame isn’t going away and this will always make him a productive contributor if he can still pass the ball and rebound the ball at a decent rate.
