Detroit Pistons — Derrick Rose

The Golden State Warriors are already planning on targeting a backup point guard this offseason. Derrick Rose, who is set to make over $7 million, could be an easy trade target and could finally be back on a team with championship aspirations.

Throughout his career, Rose has had many ACL surgeries and has missed a chunk of several seasons. He’s hopefully back for good and has shown that he’s still reasonably explosive. Rose has averaged over 18 points per game the past two seasons.

He’s the perfect player to add to this second unit, one destined to underperform yet again. Rose could help stabilize it and add that veteran leadership they need. Several players coming off the bench will be second-year players.

Rose really shouldn’t have too much value attached to him. If the Warriors, who have two roster spots open, trade both their 2020 second-round picks and maybe Ky Bowman, they should be able to bring in Rose.
