Atlanta Hawks — John Collins

The Atlanta Hawks have two up-and-coming players. One of them is Trae Young and the other is John Collins. Collins will be entering his fourth season in the league next year, improving in each of his three so far.

The 6-foot-9 power forward averaged 21.9 points per game last season. Along with 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, the 23-year-old is considered one of the best young prospects in the league.

He’s under contract for one more season, and he’ll certainly be in store for a max-value deal after. The Warriors would have to trade their entire package of assets for him.

It probably wouldn’t be worth it for either side, but with the No. 2 pick, the Warriors could bring in a frontcourt star that would take their team to the next level. The Hawks would get a pick that could be a staple of the Trae Young-era and have even a higher ceiling than Collins.

It’d be great to see, but the Warriors and Hawks making a trade wouldn’t make too much sense.
