Sacramento Kings — Cory Joseph

As we’ve gone over, the Golden State Warriors want a veteran backup point guard.

Currently, they’ll be going into next season with second-year guard Ky Bowman backing up superstar Stephen Curry. If anything happens to Curry, it’ll be tough to trust Bowman to carry a 60-win team.

Joseph, a 6-foot-3 point guard, played the first four seasons of his career with the Spurs. He knows a thing or two about winning. While he’s yet to average over ten points per game, Joseph has played in over 70 games in the last six seasons.

Joseph is a winner. He has a championship under his belt with the Spurs, and with the last few below-par teams he’s played on, they’ve been better with him on the court. He’s not a player that would change the Warriors into the top team in the league, but he would help.

His value, on a team like Sacramento, shouldn’t cost much. Joseph would also fit under the trade exception, if that’s an asset the Warriors want to use.
