San Antonio Spurs — Derrick White

Are you surprised at another point guard? This time it’s Derrick White, a guard that’s been playing at a very high level for the last few seasons, but with Dejounte Murray’s presence, his efforts are typically drowned out.

The 6-foot-4 26-year-old averaged 11.3 points per game. This past season, he had the best year of his career. White averaged his most points per game, threes per game, and blocks per game despite averaging fewer numbers in other areas like steals, assists, and rebounds.

At just over $3.5 million, White would be a cheap addition, and he would play an important role. The Spurs likely view Murray as their point guard of the future.

However, White isn’t worthy of the Warriors’ top-three pick.

He could be tossed in with LaMarcus Aldridge in a trade with the No. 11 pick for the Warriors No. 2 overall selection. That said, White is good, but as with Joseph, he’s not the type that would make the Warriors an automatic title favorite.
