Charlotte Hornets — Cody Zeller

The Golden State Warriors, for the last few seasons, hasn’t had great bench depth; they’ve had one of the worst scoring second units in the NBA over the last several seasons.

The goal is that this season may change that as they’ll have several up-and-coming players on their second unit. From Jordan Poole to Eric Paschall to Ky Bowman and many others, the Warriors will have beloved and skilled players on their bench.

One such player they could add to help strengthen their frontcourt depth is Charlotte’s Cody Zeller. He has averaged 11.1 points per game last season on 52 percent from the field. Zeller’s contract, being over eight figures, may not be worth it for the team’s management.

The 28-year-old is good enough to be worth the deal as he’d shore up a few of their holes.

He’d help the team’s frontcourt behind Marquese Chriss, but would he make them significantly better? Zeller is arguably the team’s most-skilled center offensively, and he may create a terrific small-ball lineup as skilled as he is at 7-feet tall.
