Strengths

Precious Achiuwa is a great player from the Memphis Tigers with an enormous amount of talent and skill, and maybe the highest motor in the draft. The 6’9″ Forward averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, and nearly two blocks a game as a freshman. Achiuwa played 31 games and started at the forward and center positions when James Wiseman left.

Athleticism

Achiuwa is a long, agile athlete, that uses his 7’2″ wingspan in many different areas of his game. He is also a very solid finisher, especially when he uses his large frame and gets downhill. Precious may be one of the most explosive two-foot jumpers in the draft, but he can also bounce well off of one foot.

Rebounding

One of Precious Achiuwa’s most valuable skillsets is his ability to grab a rebound and take it full court. The 21-year-old is great at finding positions and snagging boards on both sides of the court. He brings an energy to rebounding, and often times will do whatever it takes to grab one. Achiuwa averaged three offensive rebounds a game.

Defensive Potential

Precious has the potential to be an amazing defender at the next level. As a freshman, he showed his ability to be a rim protector and blocked almost two shots per game. Achiuwa does a great job of staying vertical and contesting without fouling. He also has great help-side instincts, which will definitely be useful in the NBA. One of his best attributes is his ability to guard more than one position. He can easily defend wings and sometimes guards with his incredible lateral movements. Not to mention he is very good at playing passing lanes.
