Weaknesses

Precious Achiuwa is a great player that every team should look into, but he isn’t perfect. There are a couple of areas of his game that need work. While he was a freshman in college, he is still 21 years old, which may throw some teams off. Especially since organizations are trying to go as young as possible, but he still has so much to learn.

Shooting

Precious is a very inconsistent shooter who took a lot of tough shots and settled too many times. Most of the shots he took were ones that he was not ready for. He also needs to keep his form consistent. There were too many times when he would lean or fade unnecessarily and was often very hesitant. Precious has shown flashes of becoming a great spot-up shooter, as he shot 32.5% on 1.3 attempts last season. Achiuwa did not have a great season from the free-throw line, either. The forward shot just 59% on six attempts per game.

Miscellaneous things he can work on

Precious Achiuwa is not the most prominent body; he will need to beef up if he wants to play in the NBA at a high level. His smaller size may be an issue; even in college, he allowed himself to get posted up too easily.

Precious also must improve his court awareness, especially in pick and roll situations. Sometimes Achiuwa will make bad reads and can cause turnovers.
