A deal with the Cavaliers

Warriors acquire: No. 5 + Kevin Love

Cavaliers acquire: No. 2 + Andrew Wiggins

Another trade that has potentially already been discussed is one that would bring Kevin Love to the Bay Area.

Several years ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Love from Minnesota in order to down the Warriors; now, with the Cavaliers in rebuild mode, any team could be able to acquire the former All-Star forward.

Love isn’t who he once was, but he’s still a terrific sharpshooter that could spread the floor.

He’s coming off a career-high 2.6 threes per game. With Green and Love in the frontcourt, the Warriors would have terrific shooting despite Green having relapse from deep these last several seasons.

The Warriors, as mentioned, have several favorites, and at No. 5, they’ll get one of them. Wiggins is a good fit with this team, but they’ll have a plethora of 3-and-D options that the team could draft No. 5.

It’s a win-win situation, unless the Cavaliers feel Love is worth far more than just a difference of three picks.
