Isaiah Joe, SG, Arkansas, Sophomore

Isaiah Joe is one of the best shooters in this draft. Joe can pull it from anywhere, and he will. Joe is a player who fits perfectly with the Golden State Warriors’ philosophy. Shooting and defense is exactly where Isaiah Joe stands out.

In his freshman season at Arkansas, Isaiah Joe was probably the best shooter in the country. He shot 41 percent from three on eight attempts a game. Joe also was able to grab over a steal a game in his freshman season.

He elected to stay for his sophomore year because he felt he wasn’t yet ready for the NBA, and that is something a lot of players won’t do — humble themselves and return. Joe got in the gym and continued to work, and it showed.

Entering his Sophomore season, Isaiah Joe improved in almost every statistical category.

He upped his points per game from 13.9 to 16.9. A flaw from his freshman season was his ability to get to the basket, and he fixed that as well. Joe shot 89 percent from the stripe on nearly four attempts per game.

His game is getting better and better every year. With his 6-foot-5 height and 6-foot-10 wingspan, Isaiah Joe can be a problem on both ends of the court.
